Replace the battery: You can use a small tweezer and insert it into the notch to pry the enclosure open and replace the battery. The type of the compatible battery is CR2032.
If you are not sure that the tag is working, you can try to scan it with the manufacturers app. Make sure that you have removed the battery insulation strip and that there is a battery inside.
Use the BeaconX Pro application to scan for the tag.
