The Sirin is a battery powered Bluetooth Low Energy tag. It's compact size provides simple mounting with the help of only a zip tie or double sided tape.
It is a great choice for tracking assets where the installation of an IoT tracker is not feasible.
Once a BLE tag is detected by a gateway, the Asset associated with the BLE tag will get the gateways location.
Gateways can be IoT trackers like the Blackbird, Rocbird2, or Stationbird.
The battery state displayed in percentage is an estimation based on the voltage of the battery. This means that it can’t always be accurate. We try to display a value that is slightly lower than what the actual battery state might be. This means that occasionally you might still receive location updates via a BLE tag which reports a battery state of 0%. This can be an indication of a soon to be depleted battery, and keeps the user from thinking that there is still plenty energy in the battery by showing a higher percentage.
